Gloss & Glitter…

Wedding #41 was a few short weeks ago…the fabulous celebration of the love that is Amy Rouse & Steve Wright!

I was beyond thrilled to glam up our organically gorgeous Amy for her to say yes to her Mr. Wright!

Here is a snapshot taken by the wonderful Jamie Sangar…

Oh how I love blushing and brushing and blending to intensify bridal glow!

A palette of coppers, bronzes, golds and roses turned our stunner into simply stunning… Congratulations again Amy & Steve!

I moved in August of ’08.  4 girls…all single.

I moved out December of ’08. 1 girl…still single…me!

Yes, that’s right, in the four months I provided good luck charmery, 3 sweet & crazy girls met the loves of their lives, and on May 22, 2009 one of them- Lauren Kinlaw, married Eric Burba.

I served not only as a bridesmaid, but also as a hair and floral designer…here’s a peek!

There was delicious lemon raspberry cake, lots of laughter & love, and one sparkling send-off!  Hope you enjoyed a little glimpse of what Paisley & Peacock loves to do!

Smell that?

It’s SPRING and it’s on it’s way kittens!

While the romance of a rustling autumn can get us all twitterpated, there is nothing as sweet as a fresh Spring season rolling in and warming up these frozen bones.

I dedicate this post to Spring, and some of the floral loveliness that is to be expected…

I abhor red roses and baby’s breath! You’ll never see a post dedicated to something so cliche and unoriginal here at P&P… however my favorite flowers in the whole wide world are delicate, ruffled, and simply gorgeous dah-ling! And they all start a-bloomin’ in spring…

Perfect peonies… in a delicious ruby red…

Poppies a’plenty! Love that texture…

And some ruffled ranunculus to round out our trio of spring delights!

So be on the lookout for a single stem or bunch of these beauties growing nearby, or at your favorite flower market…and also let me know if you know any boys who are just dyin’ to buy a bouquet for someone who’d appreciate it! Cause that would be me!

Happy Springtime!

Love of course,
Kate

Well, our party-planning aptitude affects the home first and foremost, and my partner-in-crime, Mrs. Andrea Tigulis had a big event to celebrate a few days ago… her charming hubby was turning the big 3-0!

The idea for a surprise party started tumbling around in our lil’ brains over six months ago!  What originated as a snazzy at-home affair developed into something that the birthday boy would love so much more… a surprise birthday PUB CRAWL with all of his family and fave friends!

Invitations were sent and then the crafting kicked in!

For the party, the gentlemen were each given personalized T’s…

And they also proudly pinned on buttons of our birthday boy!

But we didn’t forget the girls!  Glittery and beaded black & silver “3-0” pins were made with peacock feathers for each of the lovely ladies!

After an amazing meal at St. Elmo’s and then the shock of a lifetime at Claddagh’s…the new “old man” celebrated the night away with a few dozen of his closest pals, visited a few fantastic pubs and after a surprise cookie monster desert and blowing out the candles, I think he showed his appreciation quite well!

3 cheers to Andy T and a “World’s Best Wife” trophy to Andrea Beth!
What a wonderful night, filled with people we love and details we can’t ignore!

Kate

Next on the list? A 50th birthday surprise at the ever-favorite Bistro 501!

Note the deep-eggplant mini callas & the creamy white roses, the oversized crystals, the apothecary jar complete with one black long-tailed beta fish, black candles, crystal-clear handmade rock candy resting in each champagne flute, and framed photo of the birthday girl from high school!

A lot of things.

But we decided that we’re going to do a weekly inspirational post to show you a glimpse or two of what gets our feathers ruffled…

brooks-slipcovered-pb

First up? The Serafina print from Pottery Barn!

How can you look at those crazy colors and not smile? (Plus, how ’bout that fabulous orange throw draped just so?!)

Love of course, Kate

Next on the list? Carrie Bradshaw’s bedroom after her Big broken heart encourages her to do a lil’ redecorating… I’m obsessed with the ocean hued walls, the floor-to-ceiling drapes, and most of all…the wall o’ frames! The different sizes and contrasting prints…?!  I can’t wait to have a wall like that in my house!  Thanks for stopping by!

Love, Andrea

P.S. What inspires YOU?

Who we are.

January 18, 2008

bobbs Welcome to the creative outpouring of two detail-driven best friends… Andrea Beth Tigulis & Kate Elizabeth Martin.

We get excited about the small things: ruffles, a perfect patent leather accent, grosgrain ribbon, polka dots, layering pattern and texture, peonies & parrot tulips, and daydreaming about our dream homes.

We love a lot of things: Michael Jackson, TCBY, and lazy Sunday afternoons spent flipping through the newest J.Crew, Anthropologie & Pottery Barn catalogues.

And then there are things we are passionate about, and imagineering the perfect event, occasion or surprise for those that we love tops the list.

We are excited to usher in the New Year, and hope that the future brings us the opportunity to flip through our color-swatch books, visit our favorite flower market, taste-test many of our original frosted concotions, and design the days that stand out and celebrate the lives of our friends and family.

So if  you are looking for a little assistance or  full direction of your niece’s baby shower, brother’s birthday extravaganza or perfect wedding reception, let us know! We’re Paisley & Peacock, and we love this stuff!
